This video is a tribute to Moebius who died on March the 10th 2012. I composed this
track for the occasion.
Jean Henri Gaston Giraud (1938 - 2012) was a French comic artist, working in the French tradition of bandes dessinées. Giraud earned worldwide fame, predominantly under the pseudonym Mœbius, and to a lesser extent Gir.

2011 OG retrospective

2011 was an excellent year in terms of music composing for me. I had the chance to work on lots of very interesting projects and to explore new fields like fashion and video games. Here is a little retrospective of 2011 and beginning of 2012:

Bref: An extremaly famous and hilarious Tv show in France. I made music for the Documentary that was broadcasted on the French TV channel Canal+. The documentary will also be included in the DVD available in March 2012.

Video games: I just finished working on an iphone video game, soon to be released !
I am also part of this music composers collective for indie games called "Indie Loop Garden"


Fashion: I worked on two fashion films this year, a new field for me !


Sound design: nothing unusual, but sound design is something I am getting better at every year !

Releases: Eintakt is a famous underground label from Berlin. On of my tracks "Mood" was release on a vinyl and digital compilation. Another release is planned for very soon !

Sports: Tennis, Polo, Surf, ski... I love working on sports films !

Commercials: They usually represent most of my work.

Corporate films: I worked on a few of them in 2011 and I am working on a big one at the moment, but the project is kept secret.

Bohemia is a famous restaurant in Zurich. After 12 Years of the finest cigars and the best coffee in Zurich the time has come for Bohemia to re-invent itself. These short films celebrate Bohemia for what it was and what it became.
Some of my tracks were used in these 3 films along with other musicians.

The return of Zapping International on TV

Zapping International or "Toutes les télés du Monde" in french, is a TV show broadcasted on the french-german TV channel: Arte. Every week a new country is presented through it's television. Television reveals most interesting aspects of a country.

Every saturday à 6 pm on Arte, a new episode. And if you miss it, it is broadcasted on the internet for a whole week on Arte+7.

Last saturday was the television of Kirghizistan, and you can watch it here.

The Parlotones' wines

Maybe you remember about the film "Giant Mistake". You know the Parlotones, this very famous pop rock band from South Africa. Well, they are also making their own wines. And to promote their first winen a film was made. It was directed by my friend and partner Xaver Walser, a great filmaker with whom I work all the time (check out my website, you'll see his name everywhere). And I was asked to do the music along with some of the Parlotones songs.

So the first release was a red wine, called "Giant mistake" and named after a track from the Parlotones. The film was released in 2009 :



Why am I telling you about all this ? Because two weeks ago, Xaver Walser came to Berlin and we met in real for the first time after having worked together for two years. He brought with him a bottle of Giant Mistake signed by the band !! Of course we drank it together with our wives and it was pretty fine !


There is nothing left of the wine but I safely keep the signed bottle !

But the big news is that we just finished the second film for their new white wine called "Push me to the floor", again named after another one of the Parlotones song. COMING SOON !

The clothes of the bad boys of the township are designed to be able to run fast, and the traditional costumes of KwaZulu, which combines pearls, hides, tin cans and Synthetics are the standards of the Zulu identity. But real uniforms are also very common in South Africa.

This episode is the very first of the series. I had already been asked to compose the music for the credits. And while editing this episode, they realised they needed much more music from me for the soundtrack. So I was asked to create a whole library of tracks that would be at the disposal of all the next episodes. One of my best jobs.
